3-3.5lb chuck roast
2 whole onions sliced
Olive oil
2.5-3 cups beef broth
1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
2 tbsp minced garlic
2-3 bay keaves
West Coast sweet heat @rubloveseasoning
5-10 peperoncinis
Rolls
Provolone cheese

Pat dry the chuck roast and rub with a lil olive oil as your binder. Season all sides with West Coast Sweet Heat from @rubloveseasonings. Let sit for 15 minutes

Slice onions into thin slices. Sear the chuck roast for 2 minutes on each side in a hot cast iron and place into crock pot. Sauté your onions in the same cast iron scraping up the beef drippings and place on top of the chuck.

Add everything else to the crockpot and cook on high for 5-6 hours. Remove meat and shred. The meat should just fall apart. RE-season the beef with a lil more West Coast Sweet Heat. Strain liquid in crockpot and save the onions. Add meat and strained liquid back to crockpot.

Toast some buns. Top with beef, onions and provolone. Broil until cheese is melted. Serve with a small cup of the juices in the crockpot. Dip and enjoy!

  1. hi in the video after you put in the pepperocinni you put in something from a blue jar, its turned towards you so I cant see what it is….what is it ? Mustard? Dont see it or the bay leaf you put in listed in the recipe. Thanks for clarifying!

  2. What happens if the meat doesn’t just crumble like that? I have never been able to make the meat do that and idk what I’m doing wrong

  3. Found you on tiktok! Currently making but does the roast have to be fully submerged in the broth? I ask bc I have an 8 quart crock pot and it's not fully submerged just half.
