  1. Brown sugar is not authentic. We don’t add sugar😂 nice try though. Anyone who puts orange juice and sugar together is someone who doesn’t know what he’s doing.

  2. I'm going to try flank again. It's just never tender enough for me. I usually go with the more tender version of skirt or flat iron

  3. Carne asada translates to "grilled meat", asada comes from the verb "asar" which means "to grill". So no, and that's waaaaaaay too much on the marinade… sugar? Soy sauce? gtfo

  4. If you want to make it more traditionally like how a Mexican dad would make it you need a much simpler marinade, it doesn’t need brown sugar and soy sauce, the traditional way is more like just some salt and pepper and garlic and a little juice from an orange or lime.

  5. Those tacos are my favorite and that meat delicious and juicy and that pico de gallo delicious. I’m Mexican and live in Los Angeles and I remember back in the 80s 90s the tacos were so good from food trucks now the meat is horrible all hard and dry the salsas all taste the same it’s not at all like before meat used to be tender like the one you made. The only tacos I eat are king tacos 🌮 they are the only ones like before.

  6. Alex, please help me out. I DO NOT WANT A MARINADE . . . I just want a taco SAUCE to flavor the meat; NOT BREAK IT DOWN. Do I just leave out the orange juice that wrecks the flavor?

All of these Carne Asada video's are awful because marinating wrecks steak flavor. Best I've been able to do is beef sock, McCormick taco seasoning and southwestern seasoning.

You know who does a good job? Taco Bell. The steak sucks but it tastes like steak and they serve out of a seasoning bath.
