Today’s highlight Taiwan Big Castella (With whipped cream) Today, I ordered Taiwan castella online Taiwan castella was very popular in Korea a few years ago There were lots of stores at that time but it started to decrease. So I thought there wasn’t a lot of places to get the castella but I found this one online so I ordered it! And there are two flavors- original and matcha, and there’s cream inside and I also made black sugar tapioca milk tea in the connection of Taiwan. So let’s start off with the making scene first I’m going to make the tapioca milk tea This is frozen tapioca I got online
You just heat it in the microwave for a minute This is black sugar syrup and milk Open the lid a bit and now I’m going to microwave it for about a minute It’s in individual cups like this, so it’s easy to use I need to add in milk as well
20g of syrup and 90g of milk Oh, I need 120g of water too
I’m not really sure. I’ll just eyeball it The tapioca pearls are done I have no clue how much to add in

It’s about one station away The exact station is Line 5’s Gaehwasan Station Let me start off by drinking the tapioca pearl milk tea This is how it turned out! I can feel the chewiness of the tapioca pearls just by mixing it Bon appetit Yum! It’s so good The tapioca milk tea has black sugar taste to it And it’s the perfect amount of milk! Not too rich and not too mild I always eyeball the amount I put in so I’m always thinking about how much to add Now let me try the castella
I’m going to start off by cutting the original one It’s so soft and fluffy How does it look?
Whoa there’s fresh cream inside! But there’s not as much inside as it looked on the outside But the dough is so soft The details in this is one of the charms in the Taiwan castella I’m going to leave this for my husband It’s so soft!! It’s so big. Look at this amount of cream
This part is more clean Bon appetit So soft! It’s delicious I left it in the fridge when it arrived, so the cream is cold and good
And the castella is super fluffy This is so good! It’s delicious It’s so good I don’t need the gloves. I’m going to use a fork There’s so much cream inside
Next bite! I love that the cream is super cold This is completely different from regular castella There’s not a lot of egg smell and the unique sweetness of a castella It’s super light and fluffy
It’s kind of like souffle castella that’s not too sweet But there’s cream inside, so the sweetness of the cream makes the perfect level of sweetness It’s too big It’s more melted than the ones that are sold in stores It’s not super chewy but feels like jelly This is amazing…
I show it every time I take a bite LOL But I’m eating both the sweet castella and drinking sweet tea LOL
I want water I’ll bring water after eating this water Yum! The cold water is good This is a lot.. I’m going to save some more for my husband The cream.. It’s full of cream
I’m so happy I didn’t bite into this part yet so I’ll show you
This is what it looks like. So much cream! I want my husband to try this with me I can feel the softness in my mouth I wish my husband was here to try it out but he went out to ride the bike… to cycle It’s so good I’ll try the matcha now. I’m so curious about this one
The original is so good already though I’ll cut out half for my husband This is what it looks like

This is what the matcha looks like. There’s plenty of cream inside Whoa it’s so fluffy The matcha tastes much stronger than I thought It tastes more luxurious than regular matcha
It’s delicious It goes so well with the fluffy castella It’s so sweet It’s so sweet LOL
I keep needing water Yum! It’s not too bitter so it’s easily edible for kids as well But for those who like the bitterness of matcha, you may feel like the matcha taste is too weak But I think this is just perfect Yum The tapioca doesn’t come out I think I had too much tapioca in the beginning
Oh, never mind! There’s still a lot left. I wonder why it didn’t come out then The matcha is very good but I personally like the original better I like the original that I can taste the eggs I love this dough texture The last bite! It’s big but I can do it Yum Mmm this tapioca pearl milk tea makes me so happy
The chewy tapioca pearls with sweet milk tea is perfect But it might be better to add in more milk and lessen the sweetness, especially if you’re having it with sweet food This is really nice. I should buy more. They was also selling the colorful version, so maybe I will try that next time in another video The Taiwan castella was so good I got the one with cream today, but they also have the original and matcha without cream And you can also get additional cream for 100 yen that you can add on the castella yourself The price for the fresh cream castella is 8900won, around 890yen. And the matcha was 9900won, around 990yen The one without cream is both 100yen cheaper I had a blast today as well
It was a great meal Today’s bloopers Oh no.. It flew all over the place The dough is so fluffy…
