  1. Jack and his friend make me feel like I'm Gordon Ramsay.
    Pre shredded cheese is awful and gets mouldy so quick. I had to ask my family to stop buying it because we never used a whole bag and then it just sat in the fridge growing stuff on it and getting all slimy. Just buy a chunk of cheese, grate or cut as much as you need, and the rest can be used for other things, even just simple sandwiches.
    I wonder what would happen if you put Jack and Kay together and asked them to cook something.
    I actually managed to cut through the avocado pit once. I don't know what was wrong with it but it was really soft and my knife just went through it. The rest of the avocado looked normal.
    I don't think Gordon Ramsay changed. The angry, mean guy is/was just a persona for the American audience, in British versions of his shows he's very calm and nice, even the swearing is very much toned down.
    Honestly, pet owners can be disgusting. My cat once decided to drink from my cup and I almost drank after her because I was lazy and didn't feel like getting up from my comfy chair.
    Serioius question: are those people participating in Epicurious challenges paid a lot of money to act like utter ignoramuses on TV in front of the whole world or are they really not aware of their ignorance?

  2. OK, I would say that’s more like a tortilla casserole not enchiladas. That’s just my opinion, but if you want a faster way to make enchiladas in that and you wanna be lazy and not do all the prep work I have the answer you take any kind of frozen taquitos line them in your pan pour the sauce over and put the cheese on them and bake them at 375 for 40 minutes Done pull it out of the oven. Serve in 10 minutes in one hour. Are you gonna have enchiladas and they taste just as good as frozen enchiladas keep in mind it would be like eating a TV dinner compare the two make it the way I explained it to you and then get a frozen enchilada TV dinner and you tell me what the difference is. I see none frozen dinner and it’s quick and easy.

  5. i worked at taco bell for a year. we had to make 200 party packs for a charity event. thats 2400 taco, half and half. one full box of beef.

  7. Chef James and to anyone watching. I was wondering if you would be willing to give your opinion in regard to stainless steel pans. From my understanding, you got the cheap single layer stuff all the way to the Heston multi-layer brands. In the end, does it really make a difference when cooking as far as heat retention, evenness and the multilayers?

  9. I didn't realize this was nearly a 6 hour video. The first one I think you'd be better off making nachos.

    I grew up on New York City pizza. It's best with nothing on it. Okay, I add hot pepper flakes, a little salt, and some garlic powder and that's all. If you must have a topping pepperoni is acceptable. When I lived in California they'd throw everything on it
    Pineapple, broccoli, anything. It wasn't very good to begin with. They said it was the water. BS they just didn't know what they were doing. That was a long time ago.

    I'm going to say something that's going to make some people mad but I don't care. There is nothing more dangerous in this world than an Englishman in a kitchen. Somehow they just have to look at food and it's ruined. 😂

  10. I watched them before with this enchiladas tell me it just looks like dog food not even the dogs. I made it one time it's a lot of work to do enchiladas first thing I did was prepared the sauce. I do not like watching jackass every time I watch him it's disgusting.. I don't even watch him unless he's on Uncle Roger's or your that's about it. That does not look good.

  12. Yay! Chef marathon! Btw, dont knock pre-grated cheese. I have rheumatoid arthritis that's affected my hands, and grating foods really hurts due to the damaged joints. Its a life saver for me. Saves my hands for my embroidery, which is a different set of muscles!

Although, as noted recently, a neurosurgeon and professor of medicine, by training, I am, by avocation, a critic of the culinary arts, invited frequently to provide detailed reviews of high-end restaurants and author of a forthcoming guide to American steakhouses. Impassioned by fine food preparation, I was delighted to view this intriguing tribute to a number of talentless pseudo-cooks, whose very proximity to any kitchen would constitute ample reason to summon the posse. In this context and above all else: Chef James' wonderfully witty if acerbic reaction to, and meta-commentary upon, a splay of observed food felons, is a delight to behold — at once masterfully instructive, properly disapproving and addictively amusing. To devastate with humor is no mean feat and is here accomplished with efficacy and a pitch-perfect sense of the comic. Kudos to Chef James! As for the shameful culprits, let the sheriff be on his way!

James, for the next video that you cover another of Jack Scalfani's recipes, there's one recipe that you need to witness that will make you truly question everything: Aunt Myrna's Party Cheese Salad. Do not eat prior. Dare I say don't even drink anything prior. Just watch it and prepare for pain.

  17. Have we come so far as humans with food that now the “creative cooking” out here is just abominable food crimes?
    Are we so bored as a society that we call this entertainment? What happened to praising people for true success?
    Are these people serious in what they say and do? Are they just mental?
    Where are their minds towards food, culture and people when they make these videos? Is it sociopathy? Psychopathy even? Sometimes I wonder.
    Either way, at some point we will reach a precipice and these are the things that will inevitably end up angering certain powers to a point where only swift divine intervention will have to take place. I would mention specific historical examples but I don’t want to get banned. LOL 😂
    Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.
    I honestly thought these two recent videos were short ones only to see between the two is over ten hours 💀
    I can’t do it. Lol
