My best advice on building your home is what you don't see is as important as what you can see. Make sure there are easy access turn off valve for sink, toilet, etc. use good insulation and windows, water pipes. You may want to invest in getting a generator wired to the house so if your electric goes out it automatically kicks on. We built our new house in 2014 and the extra expense has paid for itself
Oh I remember when we built our house. So many decisions and so much fun! Then came the decorating. It was 3 years before I found dining room
