This Disney Cruise Line vlog begins in Olden, Norway, where we step off the ship to explore the stunning fjord scenery under a blanket of rain. After breakfast at Cabanas, we head out to take the local land train (kon troll) for a one-hour sightseeing loop through the valley, complete with waterfalls, bridges and traditional Norwegian churches. With commentary from the driver, it’s the perfect relaxed excursion for those not booking official Disney tours.

We share our honest thoughts on whether it’s worth the £30 per person cost and offer tips on accessibility, local alternatives to Disney excursions and how to make the most of short port days. Back in Olden town, we stop for souvenir shopping, mugs, hats, and pins before returning to the ship for lunch in Royal Court.

Later, Gary heads to karaoke, singing songs like Be Our Guest, Hakuna Matata and Dance With My Father, while I relax with coffee and ice cream. We then take part in the Origami Workshop, order cookies and tea from room service and watch Encanto as the ship sails away from Norway. In the evening, it’s Pirate Night with a twist, featuring a Frozen-inspired menu at Royal Court with dishes like fried pierogies, carrot soup and roast chicken. After dinner, Gary meets Minnie Mouse and ends the night singing A Whole New World with Rhiannon at karaoke.

The next morning, we arrive in Ålesund, Norway, a town famous for its art nouveau architecture. We follow the green footsteps into the city centre (though not the most reliable directions) and explore local shops, including the Harbour Gift Shop and Debbie’s Donuts for some of the softest doughnuts ever. From foggy fjord views to quirky street art and a quick stop at the lighthouse, we make the most of the chilly weather before heading back to the ship.

Once back onboard, we enjoy lunch at Cabanas with a full buffet selection of soups, carvery, desserts and vegetarian options, before taking in the views from the upper decks. Gary meets Woody and Jessie in Andy’s Toy Room, where Gary shares queueing tips for adults hoping to meet them. As the sea gets rough again, we take the evening slow with cocktails, a Broadway-style cabaret performance from the actor who plays Jafar in Aladdin, and dinner in Animator’s Palate for Animation Magic night.

We draw our own characters before enjoying the Malaysian chicken satay, chicken schnitzel and a custom curry menu made just for us by the kitchen team. The night ends with dessert, fibre-optic floors, and towel animals back in the stateroom, before we head out on deck in search of the Northern Lights.

  1. Hi adam i don't really know how to go about this lol
My wife absolutely adores you and gary , and its her birthday next month .
She watches you every single day with out fail she even puts you both on when she leaves the house for our pet pooch rodnie she thinks it calms him .
She always goes above and beyond on my birthday and I wast thinking how much I could return the favour if I could get a small video msg or voice msg she would be absolutely over the moon , I know its a random request but I thought I'd try lol ,
She's a patron subscriber and has been since you started , she loves you both, cheers

  2. This series isn’t over yet and I already want more Gary and Adam! Would you do an Alaskan Cruise? Gary think of all the pictures the characters have cute different outfits London to Vancouver is the same flight time as London to Orlando and then you’re a quick flight down to go to Disneyland

  3. I watch all your vlogs Adam, love your clear, informative and funny style, buuutt, there is a special place in my heart for the ones that include Gary, because in my friendships I'm the Gary. ❤❤

  4. “The wake” “Yes… I’m barely awake” lmfaooooooooooo 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Oh Gary it’s delightful to see you!

  5. Fab video with so many hilarious moments, good tips and such gorgeous views. So glad you got to see Phillip “Jafar” Arran’s Broadway show, he’s my husband’s cousin and is very talented indeed x

  6. The Gift shop had the same trolls on sale you can buy in Norway Epcot – I have to buy one of those on each of my trips to World Showcase 🙂

  7. Just got back from Scandinavia , first Viking tour, 2 weeks ago. Weather was not bad. We embraced it. We tried to look for souvenirs made there and not in China lol Very expensive area.

  8. Hope you had fun in Ålesund! My home town😊 if I knew you were going there, I would have invited you for dinner😂 I live right next to the cruise ship dock

  9. The community on a ship creating the holiday makes me fall in love. Especially with Gary doing what he did on karaoke with other guests ❤❤❤I’m even more determined to get a passport and travel now.

  10. Olden is so beautiful- you did the best trip. I took my parents on a similar cruise 3 years ago. Their last cruise sadly. Your vlog has brought back some fantastic memories. Keep them coming boys xx

  11. We went on a non-Disney cruise to Norway this past August. In Olden, we went with a ship's excursion and got to the tourist spot over an hour before the likely cheaper private one. That was worth it to have fewer crowds when we started.

  12. I agree love it when Adam & GaryC sail DCL together, they show you how to have fun on a Disney cruise as adults without children, I think they probably have more fun than the children do! Thanks for sharing you both with us! 😊

  13. 8:28 ok now you are litterally taunting me! You two need a travel show! I love real friendship so much. It is genuinely more beautiful than any romantic love. Even Hollywood struggles to capture the magic of friendship, but you two capture it so perfectly.

  14. We will be on the Fantasy on Monday, 11/3/25. I am so excited for the cruise, not so excited for the long flight, LAX to LHR on Saturday

  15. As I write this comment I’ve just finished my first 5 night cruise aboard the Disney Dream to Cozumel & Castaway Cay it was amazing, Thanks to you Adam and Max & Alex for giving me the drive to take the Disney cruise plunge.

  16. It’s watching this and hear my name being said 😂, I’m not the Rhiannon you mention but I’ll have a great time at a uni that I’m not going to🤪
