Taco ‘Bout A Hidden Gem At The Edge Of Waikiki

Tlacuaches is a hidden gem serving up amazing, authentic Vera Cruz style Mexican food. From tacos, flautas, nachos, horchata and more, you can find it here. The portions are massive and one plate is definitely sharable. Especially if you get an item that comes with a massive side of beans and rice.

  6. That looked really good, and huge portions (definitely could split a plate). It looks like the spell of no good Mexican food in Hawaii has been broken! I trust your taste, so if you say it's 🔥 then it's 🔥. Thank you.

  7. Your flautas and tacos looked muy bueno. I do miss Mexican food when I visit Hawaii. Now, there's a place to get my fix. Thanks!

  8. Yo Misty, Tex Mex looks so yummy. You should come to DFW here in Texas to try. If you come, I'll be a pal and let you do all the buying. LOLOLOLOL.

  9. That food looks legit! They even gave you sour cream on the side – never seen that before here in CA. When I was in Japan for an extended vacation, tacos were one thing I missed the most. Glad to see you have good Mexican food options on Ohau!

  10. Little pricey but damn fresh looking! What was your favorite? Pull up behind the illegally parked police car that's always there. LOL!

  11. Why does this place have to be in Waiks!? The most annoying thing to do is go into Waikiki lol. But Mary you are making me want to make the expedition!!

  12. Ha! lol I like the example about Carnitas 😅😅😅 like Kalua Pig 🐽 I’ve always referred to Carnitas as Mexican Kalua Pig! I’m here on the 9th Island 😂😂 We get choke Mexican eateries omg you’d love ❤️ it! 🤙🏽
