Vietnamese Cabbage Salad Recipe 🌱😋 🥗

Hi everyone,
My name is Tracy and welcome to my YouTube channel where I share many of my favourite things – baking, cooking, gardening, etc… I live in Toronto, Canada, and I garden in zone 4/5.
In addition to all the flowers in my garden, I also plant a number of edibles such as herbs in containers. Right now, I have a large pot of Vietnamese Coriander ready to harvest in my back garden.
In this video, I’m going to share my recipe for making one of our family’s favourite side dishes – Vietnamese Cabbage Salad, to eat along with my grilled Pork Steaks (see the link below for the recipe). All the ingredients for this recipe are listed below.

Vietnamese Cabbage Salad
1.5 kg (about 3 lbs) Korean cabbage
2-3 cups rough chopped Vietnamese coriander (or mint)…aka “Rau ram”
4-6 spring onions
whole fresh hot peppers (optional) — our kids don’t eat spicy food, so we left the peppers out

Pickling Liquid
1 L cooled, pre-boiled water
3/4 cup (150 g) granulated/caster sugar…use 1 cup (if you like it sweeter)
1 1/3 cup (340 mL) of white vinegar
6 tsp (36 g) coarse sea salt…fine salt = use 5 tsp
