Warm up with this quick and spicy Tom Yum soup! Boil water with galangal, lemongrass, and lime leaves. Add pork balls, chili paste, Tom Yum paste, and crushed chilies. Season with chicken bouillon, salt, sugar, fish sauce, and lime juice. Garnish with green onions and cilantro. Ready to serve hot!
Ingredients:
300g ground pork (formed into balls)
3 cups water
1 stalk galangal (sliced)
2 stalks lemongrass (cut into 2-inch pieces)
4 kaffir lime leaves (torn)
2 tbsp lime juice
2 shallots (sliced)
2 tbsp chili paste (น้ำพริกเผา)
1 tbsp Tom Yum paste
15 Thai chili peppers (crushed)
1 tsp chicken bouillon powder
2 tbsp Fish Sauce
1 tsp salt
MSG (optional)
1 tsp sugar
Green onions and cilantro (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Boil water in a pot. Add galangal, lemongrass, and lime leaves. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
2. Add ground pork balls and cook until they float.
3. Stir in chili paste, Tom Yum paste, and crushed chili peppers. Mix well.
4. Season with chicken bouillon, salt, sugar, and MSG (if using). Taste and adjust seasoning.
5. Turn off the heat and add lime juice.
6. Garnish with green onions and cilantro. Serve hot and enjoy!
