4 tablespoons coconut sugar
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 teaspoons ground chipotle pepper spice
4 tablespoons dry thyme leaves

Optional if ready to use for a large piece of meat:
1/2 tablespoon salt

1. Mix and enjoy!

Winter & Holiday Usage Ideas:

For Turkey:
Spiced Roast Turkey:
Rub the spice mix generously under the turkey skin for deep flavor infusion.
Pair with a glaze of honey or maple syrup during the last 30 minutes for a sweet and smoky holiday finish.
Turkey Breast with Winter Spice:
Coat a stuffed turkey breast with the rub before roasting.
Suggested stuffing: a mix of sweet potatoes, oats, cranberries, and walnuts for a holiday-inspired dish.
Turkey Leg Confit:
Massage the rub into turkey legs, then slow-cook them in duck fat or olive oil for a rich and festive meal.
For Ham:
Glazed Holiday Ham:
Sprinkle the rub all over the ham before baking, and baste with a glaze of orange juice, coconut sugar, and Dijon mustard. Finish with a final coating of the spice rub for added flavor.
Smoked Ham Rub:
Apply the rub generously and let it sit overnight for a flavorful crust when smoked or baked.
Add a festive touch with a clove-studded surface before roasting.
Ham Slices with Spiced Honey Butter:
Mix the rub with softened butter and honey. Spread onto ham slices, then broil until caramelized.

For Cornish Hens:
Holiday Herb-Crusted Cornish Hens:
Rub the spice mix inside and outside the hens, and stuff with a mix dry oranges, thyme, and sage.
Roast until golden for a show-stopping individual holiday entrée.
Sweet & Spicy Cornish Hens:
Marinate hens with the spice rub, olive oil, and a touch of molasses or pomegranate molasses before grilling or baking.

Garnish with pomegranate seeds for a festive presentation.
Cornish Hens with Root Veggies:
Rub hens thoroughly and roast on a bed of root vegetables (carrots, parsnips, onions) tossed in olive oil and the spice mix.
Serve family-style for a rustic holiday meal.

Pro Tip:
For all these dishes, balance the spice rub with glazes or marinades that include a hint of sweetness (honey, maple syrup, molasses) or acidity (orange juice, balsamic vinegar) for a harmonious holiday flavor profile! Bon appétit!

For Festive Feasts:
Rub onto roast Pork, Turkey, Duck, Cornish Hen, and Lamb before baking for a holiday-worthy crust.
Sprinkle over pork tenderloin or prime rib for a flavorful roast centerpiece.
Try it one boar to add a warm, smoky, herbal holiday touch.

For Cozy Vegetables:
Toss with sweet potatoes, carrots, or parsnips before roasting for a caramelized, spiced glaze.
Sprinkle over baked butternut squash or Brussels sprouts for a savory twist.

For Comforting Sides:
Stir into a breadcrumb mixture for a spiced topping on casseroles or gratins.
Use to season holiday-inspired stuffings or savory cornbread.

For Snacking & Gifting:
Mix into roasted nuts or pumpkin seeds for a spicy-sweet holiday snack.
Package the rub in small jars with festive labels as DIY holiday gifts for foodies.

For Indoor Grilling or Slow Cooking:
Coat ribs or brisket and let them cook low and slow in a slow cooker or oven.
Add to marinades for holiday BBQ-inspired dishes cooked indoors.
This versatile spice rub brings warmth and joy to both winter and holiday meals, making every dish unforgettable—whether it’s on the grill, oven, or stovetop!
