  1. Watching in 2024 it’s surprising how some of the pricing seems very reasonable as the impact of the cost of living has increased so much 😢

  2. In America, Whole Foods is considered a "Health Food" store, not a grocery store. They screen all their items, so you don't have to read labels for chemicals, sodium nitrates, etc. The food in our regular grocery stores is NOT HEALTHY.

  3. Enoki musrhooms are used as a vegetable in east asian cooking, although they are not used in most dishes. Just place them in a soup for a couple of minutes and that's it. They're very strawy and fibrous so you need to eat them as a small bunch at one go.

  4. Stopped my Daylesford morning coffee habit… when a latte and pain au chocolat went from 8.50 to 11.50 … haven’t been back since

  5. 1.49 for one slice of cake?!? that’s cheaper than our cheapest grocery store in the United States! u would never find a piece of cake nor anything for $1.49!

  6. I have not seen your videos before but enjoyed your comments and demeanour. I was surprised to hear you say you are a pizza girl and like simple things because looking at your list of videos they are all about the most expensive this or the most luxurious that. I am on a budget so guess I won’t find much that suits me.

  7. My sister has arthritis in her wrists and relies on pre diced/chopped food. So I wouldn’t say it’s lazy. It’s great for people with disabilities

  8. I think of Stuart Smalley's (Al Franken) daily affirmations when I shop Whole Paycheck. "I deserve it", I'm worth it", etc., 😅 I Feel blessed I can afford the periodic splurge on fancy oils, cheeses, meats, olives, etc 😋

  9. We also forget the USD to GBP exchange rate is much more favorable to the dollar now making the UK much cheaper for Americans. When it was £2.09 for $1.00, I went to Whole Foods and found a £13 sandwich (in 2007) = a $27 sandwich almost 20 years ago!! 🤦 Also explains why suddenly Europeans and Brits think the US suddenly got so much more expensive.

  10. I'm watching this for the first time in 2024 and I had to check when this was uploaded as all the prices seemed pretty reasonable – yep, 2 years ago! It just goes to show how expensive everything is now, even in places like Lidl 😅 I'm absolutely loving your videos Hannah. YouTube suggested your videos to me recently and I'm sooo glad I've subscribed 👏🏻🩷
