CREAMY Shrimp Alfredo Pasta

Do you want to impress your family and friends with a rich, creamy & elegant Shrimp Alfredo? In just under 30 minutes, you’ll be enjoying this restaurant-style American-Italian one-pot meal! It’s so easy to put together and so delicious!

INGREDIENTS:
▶ 2-2 ½ lbs of shrimp (peeled, deveined and washed with lemon/lime juice)
▶ 1 lb (16 oz) fettucine pasta
▶ 2 cups of grated parmesan cheese (1 ½ for the sauce & ½ for serving)
▶ 4 tbsp butter (1 for frying shrimp & 3 for making the alfredo sauce)
▶ Salt (as needed)
▶ 1 tsp white pepper
▶ 1 tsp paprika
▶ 1 tsp Cajun spice blend (black pepper,
chili powder & garlic powder)
▶ 2 tbsp cream cheese (optional)
▶ 2 cups of heavy cream
▶ 1 cup of pasta water
▶ 10-12 cloves of garlic
▶ 2 tbsp chopped parsley or 1 tbsp dried
▶ Red pepper flakes (as needed)

NOTES:
🍤I LOVE shrimp alfredo!

🥛Evaporated milk can be used as a substitute for heavy cream.

🍝Use penne, linguine or spaghetti as a substitute for fettucine.

🍷White wine can be used instead of pasta water.

🧀🇮🇹Authentic alfredo sauce is made with butter, pasta water and parmesan cheese. The American 🇺🇸 version contains heavy cream.

🇮🇹Fettucine alfredo is also called fettucine al burro (fettucine with butter) and the modern version was invented by Alfredo di Lelio in Rome.

💲Making this at home is WAYYYY cheaper than buying it at a restaurant.

Usually when the grocery store is out of alfredo sauce, my alfredo plans are ruined…luckily i found this video with great ingredients for making the sauce from scratch…loved the tip about the cream cheese. Tried it yesterday and the shrimp alfredo came out perfectly for my dad's birthday. Thanks a million!!!

  6. I will be making this for dinner tonight but not near as spicy. I will add a few red pepper flakes but I can't tolerate super spicy. It looks amazing.
