How to make milder sweet chilli sauce- Vietnamese recipe, the sauce that you can dip everything in

In Vietnam, chilli isn’t just a spice — it’s survival. From garden to market, I grew up fermenting chillies with bare hands (still stings thinking about it!). Now I’m making a family-friendly version in my UK kitchen for my daughter.
Quick, easy, and full of flavor. Would you try it sweet… or spicy?

Ingredients:
300g red chilli
200g red pepper
40g garlic
200g sugar
40g salt
200ml vinegar
400ml water

Mix cornstarch (30g) and water
Stir it in and simmer until the sauce is thickened.
Let it cool, and pop it in a jar.
