Russia 🇷🇺 a country that’s been all over the news lately. But what is life really like inside this vast nation? Growing up in Hong Kong, my knowledge of Russia was pretty limited. I could probably count the things I knew on one hand: Putin, vodka, bears, matryoshka dolls, and that it’s the largest country in the world. And then, unexpectedly, I fell in love with a Russian girl that expanded my knowledge about this country.

So, join us on a two-month adventure as we travel across the incredibly diverse landscapes of Russia aboard the Trans-Siberian Railway, starting here in Vladivostok.

  1. Thank you for this video, Alina and Justin! My favorite parts were the Kamčatka crab restaurant, the stolovaja (canteen) and the lighthouse. Cannot wait to see the other videos from this series 🙂

  2. At about 6 minutes in the canteen: the women are NOT dressed as soviet school girls. They are dressed as 19th century european serving/staff/maids. This is how 19th european women" in service" dressed. Which makes sense since archetecture of the canteen is 19th century. They are in theme.
Then, in mid 19th centurey, there was a need for better educated lower classes. And there was a need for a much larger educated middle and upper middle people. Which means that intelligent people from the lower class could move up. In the cities, a large public school system was organized for lower classes. The school girls from lower classes wore this type of uniform. The public school system was expanded and updated by the soviets, but the uniforms didn't change much.

  3. I visited St. Petersburg and Moscow for the first time in my life last year and it was an incredible experience. I got to watch Kamila Valieva and Anna Scherbakova perform live at the CSKA arena on two different occasions. It was a dream come true, as they are figure skaters who I greatly admire. I am so glad we have people like you who can show us the real Russia, not the fake one we often see in social media.

  4. Россия огромная страна и проездом конечно много не покажешь, но хотя бы чуть-чуть . Спасибо вам! Вы молодцы! ❤❤❤

  5. Hello, it’s so beautiful in Russia! Wow! I always wanted to go to Russia especially Vladivostok/Haishenwei. Both of my parents were raised in Hong Kong and you guys should go to visit Russia, China, North Korea TriPoint. Thanks for the the video!

  6. The United States is actually more dangerous than Russia. Just look at the gun violence in the USA, it is sky rocketing every month.

  7. Top 4 countries North Koreans visit: Russia, China, Switzerland, Japan!!! Yes, North Koreans CAN go out of their country. And every year, busses from North Korea visit South Korea so North Koreans can see their loved ones from South Korea. Don't be fooled by the WESTERN Nato propaganda, they are demonizing countries that don't want to bow down to them. The US Imperialism together with Western European countries plot coup in other countries and also destroy their economies so the US and Western Europe will be seen as rich countries while other countries remain poor. The most bombed country in the world is Laos and even today 70 percent of Laos is inhabitable because bobs were dropped there. By whom? Guess…by the USA. Britain has plundered resources from its former colonies and have stolen Billions of Dollars from India. Before the british colonized them, India was the richest country in the world. the USA also colonizedthe Philippines and plundered resources there, that is why the Philippines is still poor.

  8. you both really like borscht i can tell because normally you share a dish but you each had a huge bowl.

    love how cheap dairy is

  9. Great that you're having fun. Have you noticed that Russia is an aggressor waging war with Ukraine, where it commits murders that are subject to global legal sanctions as "genocide"? Are you indifferent to it or don't you give a damn? Horror. Thumbs down.

  10. Can't wait for the trans Siberian adventure vlogs. That has been my dream train journey ( first I have to convince my wife)😂

  11. Капец очень крутой обзор на Владик! Вы вроде по всем точкам прошлись и все попробовали интересное 😃 город стал лучше конечно. Центр расцвел, появились красивые вывески и видно что tourist friendly.
