Shrimp Alfredo Pasta with Asparagus
1 box Linguine noodles
3ea Shallots
1 bunch Asparagus
Parsley as needed for garnish
Salt to taste
8oz Shrimp
1 tsp Avocado oil (for shrimp)
2 tsp Old Bay
1/4 tsp White pepper
2 tsp Onion powder
1 tbsp Butter
2 tsp Garlic paste
1 1/2 Cup Heavy cream
3/4 Cup Shredded Colby
Grated Parmesan Cheese – garnish
Red pepper flakes – garnish
📖 Recipe
– Small dice shallots, cut asparagus into 3 halves, chop parsley
– Blanch asparagus in lightly salted water until done (once the water begins to boil, the asparagus is done)
– Season shrimp with old bay seasoning, white pepper & onion powder (s/n, the old bay seasoning has salt in it, please be mindful not to overseason).
– To a heated sauté pan on medium heat, add unsalted butter & sweat the shallots for 1 – 2mins, then add garlic paste, and cook for 30 seconds then add heavy cream and stir
– Once the cream sauce begins to come to a boil, lower the heat to low heat, then add cheese and continue stirring until all the cheese has melted
– Add asparagus, shrimp & pasta, and begin to turn pasta with tons or a fork until the sauce covers all the contents.
– Plate, then garnish with parmesan cheese, parsley, and red pepper flakes
