cranky and fighting off sugar cravings that feel like a punch in the gut they call it the transition phase I call it a waste of time what if I told you that you can skip that entire week of misery what if I told you that you can flip the metabolic switch in your body from burning sugar to burning fat in exactly 24 hours not three days not five days 24 hours welcome back to nutrihub I’m going to show you the exact scientific protocol to deplete your glycogen stores and force your liver to produce ketones in record time this isn’t magic it is biology and it is going to be intense we are not just going to eat less carbs we are going to hack your metabolism if you want to wake up tomorrow morning functioning like a fat burning machine with razor sharp focus you need to follow this timeline exactly get your notepad ready let’s dive in before we get to the timeline you need to understand what we are actually doing to your body so you don’t freak out when things start happening think of your body like a hybrid car for most of your life you have been driving this car on gasoline that gasoline is glucose sugar from carbohydrates your body loves gasoline it’s cheap it burns fast and it’s easy to find but here is the catch your car has a fuel tank in your body this tank is your liver and your muscles and it stores reserve fuel called glycogen an average person carries about 2,000 calories worth of glycogen in their tank here is the problem as long as there is even a drop of gasoline left in that tank your body will refuse to switch to the electric battery that battery is your body fat that is ketosis so when you start a normal keto diet you just stop eating carbs you stop putting gas in the tank that is great but you still have that full tank of 2,000 calories sitting there if you just sit on the couch your body will sip on that fuel very slowly that is why it takes regular people 4 to 7 days to enter ketosis they are waiting for the tank to run dry naturally we don’t have time for that we are not going to wait for the tank to leak out slowly we are going to open the valves and drain that tank dry the protocol I am about to give you is designed to aggressively empty your glycogen stores through a specific combination of dietary timing fasting and movement when that tank hits zero your liver has no choice it panics in a good way it says emergency no more sugar and it immediately starts breaking down body fat into ketones for energy this method is fast it is effective but I have to be honest with you it is a shock to the system it requires discipline for one single day can you handle one day of discipline for a lifetime of health I think you can so here is your battle plan the clock starts ticking right now alright pay attention because we are moving from theory to practice this is the exact roadmap you need to follow this timeline begins at 6:00 PM the night before you want to wake up in ketosis let’s assume you want to be a fat burning machine by Tuesday evening that means we start our countdown right now on Monday night step 1 6:00 PM the strategic last supper this is your final meal before the 24 hour countdown begins now I need you to listen closely because most people ruin the entire plan right here at the starting line there is a common psychological trap where people think oh I’m starting a strict diet tomorrow so I better have one last giant feast tonight they order the pizza they eat the ice cream they drink the soda they treat it like a farewell party for carbohydrates do not do that absolutely do not do that if you load up on carbohydrates tonight you are completely defeating the purpose remember the fuel tank analogy if you eat a high carb meal tonight you are topping off that gas tank to the brim you are giving your body 2,000 calories of fresh sugar to burn through before it can even think about touching your body fat you are making the race twice as long as it needs to be your final meal must be a strategic low carb preparation meal it needs to be high in protein and fiber but extremely low in starch I want you to eat a solid portion of protein think a nice grilled chicken breast a juicy steak or a piece of salmon pair that with a massive bowl of green leafy vegetables spinach broccoli asparagus kale fill up on volume not calories why greens because the fiber will keep you full but the net carb count is practically zero this meal signals to your body that the glucose supply is being cut off avoid potatoes avoid rice avoid bread avoid pasta and definitely no dessert keep your total carbohydrate intake for this meal under 10 grams finish eating by 7:00 PM put the fork down clean the kitchen close the fridge and start your stopwatch your fasting window begins right now from this moment on no calories pass your lips you can drink water you can have black coffee or plain herbal tea but nothing that will spike your insulin go to sleep early tonight your body is going to do a lot of metabolic work while you dream and you are going to need the energy for tomorrow step 2 7:00 am the caffeine kick start good morning it has been 12 hours since your last meal while you were sleeping your body has been burning through some of that liver glycogen to keep your basic functions running your insulin levels are starting to drop which is exactly what we want but your tank is still about half full if we just wait it will take all day to empty we need to speed things up do not eat breakfast I repeat breakfast is officially cancelled today most traditional breakfasts like cereal toast or oatmeal are pure sugar bombs that will spike your insulin and stop fat burning instantly even a healthy protein shake might break your fast too early we need to extend the fasting window instead I want you to brew a strong cup of black coffee or green tea we are using caffeine as a tool here caffeine is a powerful metabolic booster that increases your metabolic rate and helps mobilize fatty acids from your fat tissues into your bloodstream but here is the secret weapon I want you to add to that coffee 1 tablespoon of high quality MCT oil or coconut squats lunges burpees or sprints go hard for 30 to 45 minutes you need to push yourself until you feel that specific burn in your muscles that burning sensation that is lactic acid it is the literal chemical sign that your muscles are churning through their sugar reserves rapidly I have to warn you about how this is going to feel About 20 minutes in you are going to feel sudden fatigue you might feel like your legs are made of lead athletes call this bonking or hitting the wall when you feel this heaviness I want you to smile seriously smile because that feeling is success that heaviness means your muscle glycogen is nearly zero you have successfully drained the tank push through those last few reps you are forcing your body to look for an alternative fuel source and that source is your body fat step 4 12 p m hydrate and remineralize it is noon you have been fasting for 17 hours you crushed a hard workout you are probably feeling hungry maybe a little light headed or perhaps you have a slight headache this is the danger zone this is the moment where most people quit because they feel terrible but listen to me carefully you are likely not starving you are dehydrated and right now inside your body a metabolic miracle is happening your liver is ramping up production of ketone bodies you are officially entering the fat burning zone now it is time to break your fast but you have to be careful if you celebrate by eating a bagel or a bowl of pasta now you will ruin everything we just worked for you will refill the tank instantly and shut down ketone production your first meal must be a Celebration of fat it should be high fat moderate protein and practically zero carbs we want to signal to your body that fat is the new primary fuel source think about a beautiful rib eye steak topped with herb butter or a piece of roasted salmon with a side of sliced avocado or maybe a three egg omelet cooked in bacon grease with cheddar cheese eat until you are comfortably full savor every bite you have earned this meal by keeping carbs out of this meal your insulin remains low and your body continues to burn its own fat stores throughout the night you have successfully switched engines now we need to have a serious conversation about what happens next because if I don’t warn you you might quit tomorrow morning when you switch fuels this quickly forcing your body
