Cast Iron Skillet TACO DIP for your Super Bowl party or for any time of the year!! SUPER EASY TO MAKE!! DELICIOUS!! RECIPE BELOW…

SKILLET TACO DIP

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

1-10-inch Skillet or use 1-12-inch Skillet to Double this recipe

1 lb. lean ground beef

3/4 cup red onion, finely chopped (reserve 2 tablespoons for garnishing top)

3/4 cup black beans from can, rinsed and drained

1 (1-ounce) envelope Taco Seasoning mix, your choice

1/2 cup water

1-1/2 cups (5-ounces) cheddar cheese, shredded

1 plum tomato, chopped, about 1/2 cup

2 tablespoons green onions, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons fresh cilantro. chopped

1. In a 10-inch cast iron skillet, over medium-high heat, add beef. Cook while stirring and crumbling beef until no longer pink. About 10 minutes. Remove any excess liquid from bottom of skillet.

2. Add red onions. Cook an additional 2-3 minutes while continuing to stir.

3. Add black beans, taco seasoning, and 1/2 cup of water (not 1 cup of water, like I said in this video). Stir until beef is well coated, about 1-2 minutes.

4. Remove from heat. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese. Add remaining cheese evenly over top.

5. Bake in preheated oven until cheese is melted and lightly golden, about 20 to 25 minutes. Sprinkle top evenly with reserved red onions, tomatoes, green onions, and cilantro.

TIPS: Serve hot with tortilla chips, corn chips, romaine lettuce leaves, celery sticks, slices of bell peppers or any thing else you’d like.
