Today’s theme for “AI Skye’s Easy Cooking Passport” is the classic Thai dish, “Khao Man Gai.” Whether you don’t have a store-bought dashi stock or don’t like fish sauce , you’ll be fine! Watch this and you’ll be a master of Thai cooking! First, you need the ingredients to put in the rice cooker: rice, chicken thighs, ginger and garlic, fish sauce, and chicken stock. If you don’t have any, kelp stock is fine too. And—this is important— the “sauce” makes it even more delicious, so prepare the ingredients for that, too: soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, ginger and garlic, and lemon juice. If you like it spicy, try adding some chili peppers. When putting the ingredients in the rice cooker, make sure to separate the sauce ingredients so they don’t get mixed in. First, poke holes in the chicken with a fork. Next, put the rice, chicken, ginger, garlic, and seasonings in the rice cooker and turn it on! The rest is up to you! Meanwhile, let’s make the sauce that will determine the deliciousness of Khao Man Gai. Just put the sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix with a spoon. Great!
