Wendy’s Chili Cheese Fries Recipe (TTOD #8 3.2.13) American – The Take Out Diet
Hey everybody welcome to The Take Out Diet.
Yesterday when we made Wendy’s Chili, that was not by accident. We made that yesterday so
that today we could make Wendy’s Chili Cheese Fries. Let’s get started. It is a party. We are going to start by placing our peeled
and sliced potatoes into a cold water bath. This is going to extract some of the starch so that
when we bake them, they bake up nice and crisp. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and line
a baking sheet with parchment paper. I am going to place a cooling rack on top of my baking sheet.
This is an optional step but it does create extra air flow underneath the fries to also help them back up crispier. Next we are going to lay our potatoes onto
a paper towel and pat them dry. Line them up on your baking sheet so that they are evenly
spaced but they’ll be okay. They are really small fries. Place them in the oven and allow them
to bake for about 30 minutes. This may sound like a long time, but it is about how long they
took to get that golden brown color that I wanted them to be. Now the chili like I mentioned, we made it yesterday, so you
can find it by following this annotation that says chili recipe or you can find it in the description below. And the same thing with the cheese sauce. We made it
the other day when we made the tacos, but just really quickly, I’ll tell you how to make it. Place a saucepan ove high heat and add in
almond milk, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, cornstarch, tahini, garlic powder, onion powder, and a mexican taco
seasoning, and a tad bit of salt. Whisk it together, then bring it to a boil and
allow it to simmer until it thickens up. And then we are done. Once your fries are ready,
we can assemble and our chili cheese fries. I am going to get me a bowl here of fries, then I
am going to layer on my chili, which is so so good. And then my cheese sauce. Lets taste it. When I first picked up one I the french fries, I though
maybe I should have went with a thicker cut french fry to stand up to the sauciness of my chili and cheese sauce, but Once I put it in my mouth, I mean, we all love aesthetics,
but none of that matters if it taste oh so delicioso. It was so good and hearty. I am about to go and
have my way with the rest of these chili cheese fries. The potatoes were actually really good. They were a
little bit thin sliced, but like I said I didn’t give a crap after I tasted them. The cheese sauce was still delicious just like it was the other
day when we made our Taco Bell Doritos Locos Tacos things. And the chili, like I said yesterday, it was really delicious.
So when you put it all together, it like creates another flavor explosion in your mouth and your just like, ohh, carnival food. It was really good. I hope you all enjoyed this recipe because
I really did. If you like this channel, please subscribe, live comments below. I read all of them and
I will see you all tomorrow. Bye.

About The Take-Out Diet: I Love Dining-In, Taking-Out, and Driving-Thru. Since it is physically, mentally, and financially impossible for me to do that everyday, I bought a fryolator.
