hi everyone I’m Narine and welcome to my kitchen today we’re going to make another pressure cooker recipe and we’re going to make chicken salsa verie so let’s go see how we do [Music] that this pressure cooker recipe is super simple it is as simple as my salsa chicken only this time we’re using salsa verie that we made from scratch in another video and what I have in here is a family pack of chicken breast boneless skinless that I have rinsed and just tossed in the vessel and I sprinkled it with a teaspoon of chicken bullion powder instead of salt I’m going to use the chicken bullion powder and I’m going to season it up further with some of this mild JD’s table shake and you can get that at the JD salsa website this stuff is great it’s got a little bit of spice to it but it’s not hot at all it’s just got a perfect blend of there’s garlic and cumin and oregano in here it’s just great and that’s all I’m going to do with that about a teaspoon maybe a little more you don’t want to put too too much because remember we’re putting this under pressure so everything is going to be intensified now I have a quart I made um salsa birie in another video and that made a pint and a quart so that made a lot of salsa I’m just going to toss a quart of that salsa in there I want to get all that goodness in there too and yes it’s hot cuz I just made it um and I’m just going to give this a with my tongs o you smell it oh wow it smells amazing okay so don’t worry that my sauce was hot and I put the raw chicken in there with it we’re going to put this right in the pressure cook so it’s all going to cook together so it doesn’t even matter now we’re going to put this because my meat is thought out I don’t have to cook it for as long as I would if I um use frozen meat so we’re going to put this in I’m going to set it for 25 minutes hello and this is an Elite 10q pressure C cooker I’m going to hit meat and chicken and I’m going to put it up to 25 minutes and I’m going to let it do its magic and the meantime I’m going to go ahead and I’m going to cook some rice and then when we come back we’re going to have dinner so we’ll be back when this is ready to reveal and we’ll fix you a plate of chicken salsa verie pressure cooker style and there you have it it just came out of the pressure cooker I made some rice I put a little of the sauce on both the chicken and the rice and um you want to taste this babe sure okay it’s almost too pretty to cut into but you can see this chicken is delightful it’s fork tender and it’s beautiful I want to get a little bit of the rice a little bit of the chicken so you can have half that chicken a big old mouthful okay you ready mhm oh wow good that is outstanding I can’t wait to try it mhm should try it Sam oh I bet you’d like it Sam oh it’s really flavorful oh you’ve got to try this and listen if you don’t have a pressure cooker don’t worry you can throw this in your cck pot and let it cook all day long and it’ll still be just as delicious make up some rice I’m have any lemon boy sliced tomatoes fresh out of the garden and let me tell you this table Shake was the Perfect Blend of seasonings to put on this chicken I’ve used this in taco meat I’ve used it in a lot of things um JD sent me this when they sent me that Bloody Mary mix and I’ve really gotten quite a bit of use out of it um if you want more information on where you can get this you can go to JD salsa.com I’ll leave a link below you can go check them out this is really good they also make a hot version so that is how you make delicious and easy salsa verie in the pressure cooker I hope you try it I hope you love it until next time I’ll see you chicken Sal thank you for joining me in my kitchen today I hope you like what you watch today and I hope that you try it and I hope that you love it um if you like what you saw please consider hitting the thumbs up button and giving me a positive braing and also make sure that you hit the Subscribe button if you’re already not a subscriber so that you don’t miss out on any the fun we have here in our kitchen every single day I hope that you enjoyed it I’m really glad that you’re here thank you for stopping by don’t forget to come by tomorrow until next time happy eating [Music]

Greetings! Today I am sharing a super quick and delicious pressure cooker recipe for chicken salsa verde. While this may not be totally traditional, it is easy and it is on the table in a short amount of time.

My girls started school today so we are back into the regular school schedule. This year though they are both going to the same school and my oldest is driving them. This saves me a ton of time where I won’t have to be doing the morning and afternoon school roundup for the first time in my life as a mother! As I sit typing this it does feel very weird!

This is the perfect dinner to get on the table fast. While your chicken is under pressure, cook up some rice and slice some tomatoes and even some avocado for great sides to go along with this meal. There will be great leftovers if you used a family size bag of chicken like I did. You can easily shred this chicken and use it for tacos on another night. Leftover rice on the side and whip up some refried beans and you are good to go!

I have seasoned this chicken up with the salsa verde that I made in another video that you can see here: http://bit.ly/1nZMH0H

I also used the mild version of the “Table Shake” that was sent to me by the good folks at J.D.’s salsa and I have to tell you that I really love this stuff! It perfectly seasons your chicken for this dish and I also use it for roasted chicken, chicken tacos, chicken enchiladas and taco meat. It’s just perfect. You can find this on the J.D.’s Salsa website here: http://bit.ly/RFX9Nj

I use a 10 quart Elite pressure cooker that I purchased from HSN. They currently don’t offer this model but do offer an 8 quart version that is a bit different from the one I use here. If you have an electric pressure cooker, get it down off the shelf where you put it because you were either too afraid to use it or could not figure out what to do with it once you got it and make something amazing for dinner.

I cannot tell you how much time this saves me in preparing meals for my family. I can take a frozen piece of meat or a whole frozen chicken or a roast or a pork tenderloin and have a wonderful dinner on the table in an hour. The meat always turns out succulent and tender and infused with the flavors that I put in the pot with it.

Don’t worry if you don’t have an electric pressure cooker! You can easily make this meal in your crock pot, but it will take all day. Just throw the ingredients in the pot and set it on low for about six to eight hours and cook up some rice and a veggie of your choice and dinner is ready in no time after you get home in the evening!

I hope you give this recipe for chicken salsa verde a try and I hope you love it!

  1. This looks incredible.   Chicken recipes are so "repetitive" (I find)…  What a change in originality….  Thank you for posting!!!

  2. Looks yummy. Would love to try this, but don't have a pressure cooker.   To cook this in my crock pot, what is the recommended cooking time?

  3. Congratulations on getting your girls to this point in their (or your) lives! Such freedom! (my son is 17 so I completely get ya!)
I will definitely be adding this to the meal rotation at our house. We could eat chicken and rice variations just about every single day but it is good to switch up the flavors now and again. 🙂

  4. I don't have a Pressure Cooker,  but it seem like this could also be done in a Slow Cooker.   Will give it a try.

    TY for the recipe

  5. We eat lots of chicken, so I thank you for the great pressure cooker ideas. You convinced me to get an electric pc and I love it!

  6. Mmmmmmmm wonderful! When is Rick going to do another one. You both crack me up but i love when Rick always says..first step…grab a beer…lol. big fan and ty for your recipes! Many remind me from when I was a kid many moons ago lol. Enjoy your day and look forward to what's next :o)

  10. Noreen…I was surprised at the amount of time the chicken was under pressure.  25 minutes?  A bit longer than necessary for defrosted chicken?

  11. Your cameraman always has a happy tummy. Thanks for the ideas. I just received my new pressure cooker. I'm looking forward to trying this.

  12. Nice job. I'm thinking you are having a wonderful time with the pressure cooker. I love mine too. Thanks for sharing.
