Eat Like An Olympian | Maple Pork Chops With Roasted Root Veg
hello everybody keth again um Olympics on tonight Ain they starts tonight A good old open ceremony so who wants to eat like an Olympian oh nice and simple we’re going to do some uh maple syrup glazed pork chops with some uh root vegetables all done in the oven you can do it in A5 if you want mine’s going to be done in the oven let me show you there it is guys It Like A Champion uh it like an Olympian it’s all the Olympians I had this last year I think and I think I’ve only done one recipe on it and it was really nice so I thought today let’s do that Maple pork chops with roasted root vegetables oh yes nice and simple that’s all the ingredients you want to have a look um I haven’t got shellock I couldn’t get them at all from Tesco or Ali so I’ve just got onions and that’s it and it’s nice and simple to do so first things first prepared everything there’s my uh my parsnips and me carrots and me potatoes all in there we’re going to drain them first and then we’re going to get them into a bowl all your carrots and your parsnips and your potatoes I made quite a bit cuz uh say it’s going to be aty so I need a a bigger bowl than that let me going Big Bowl that’s better I’m going to get my onions in all of my onions I just cut them into like chunks you know what I mean we just going to get them in nice and simple going to get a little bit of oil the oven is already warming up and we want some salt and pepper and just give it a shake and a mix together get it all coated in oil I will get my tin out of the oven now there it is nice hot pan we’re going to pil them in and I’m going to the side they going to go in for 30 minutes until they start cooking and start changing color I’ll probably stir them a little bit to make sure they get coated properly okay guys just stting to change color I’ve been in half an hour over the camera can pick it up we just starting to change color you can see it’s all gone soft anyway now get your Co jet in and a couple of sprigs of Rosemary I got a fresh one of these one of them plant ones so all add up the tesos didn’t have any other packet ones so I’m just going to get that a little mix just to incorporate them cetes and that and we’re going to give that 10 more minutes okay there are my chops um I’ve patted them all dry already so while they in for 10 that’s in for another 10 minutes we’re just going to put a bit of salt on the old chops just to your liking on both sides and we’ll leave them to one side now they’re done and we’ll do the maple syrup or honey if you want to use honey um I didn’t have any of e in so I’ve just got this one 2 pound from Tesco cuz it’s not often you use that stuff is it really and I got three tablespoons of uh old grain mustard and we’re going to mix that together take the thing off it hasn’t been opened and obviously do it to your taste you know what I mean I know that’s the book but obviously you got to do it to your taste you you need to do a bit more do a bit more so and you want it sweet don’t you you know what I mean and we’ll mix that together and there’s your glaze for your chops okay guys there’s them now we got to get the four chops in bu them amongst it it says so that’s what we’ll do it’s smelling nice though I must admit that it’s smelling really nice I get four in here one I have to just stick on the top the big one not going to matter how they go is it all going to be turned and we’ll put the big one there should have got a bigger TR know look at that and then unto you got old glaze when I use half of this go over all of the chops first can always make more can’t you you know what I mean you want it sweet don’t you if we’re doing this should have definitely got a bigger try I thought this would have been plenty big enough but never mind yeah use a bigger try guys I done loads of edge cuz I want loads of edge today I’m just going to drizzle a bit like that can always make some more if I need to that’ll do right in the oven for half an hour okay guys we are done what I’ve done is I got me uh pork chops there I took them out and I just put an extra bit of uh map syrup and mustard on there just to get a bit more flavoring looking nice a couple of the potatoes are a bit mushy but I think that’s down to me and the pan uh cuz the Pan’s not big enough and that’s what sort of thing that’s what happens if you use like roast potatoes and that you know what I mean a big enough pan let’s get it back there we go anyway let’s dish up so let’s get some vegum boiling Us in the middle like that oh yes going to put a little bit more potatoes on and some uh bit like that that’ll do us would it that’s looking nice guys that’s looking nice a little bit like that there we go let’s get a nice chop let’s have that one like that look at me looking Posh again what’s the matter with me oh yes and I about finishing off with a little bit of gravy you got to have a bit of gravy ain’t you of just some gravy granules and there we go now I don’t think that looks too bad do you right let me dish the rest up and then we’ll give it a goo so there it is and I think it looks delicious what do you think bab I know there’s a couple of things that they don’t like but I’ve made it to Perfection and going she’s too fussy now she doesn’t like um gettes and she doesn’t like parsnips but they roasted parip so it’ll be better for you you know what I mean so have yourself a goo she’s not coming on that isn’t she’s just uh she’s not fooding but her hands are playing up so I won’t show Too Much see is look I W I won’t show I won’t show too much that because it’s not fa I can’t cut can’t cut my food off it is come back to me anyway let me have a crack you have a go first um let me show you mine actually um is roast potatoes well they’re not they’re not roasties they’re um they are roed but they’re not gter roers if you get me yeah know there we are guys look I think that looks really nice you want me to help you Bab I’ll stop the camera let me stop the camera a minute right can smell that mustard um definitely I’m going to have a little bit of little bit of everything here parsnips carrot going to get it all in one go the potatoes but nice you FR your spuds first there it is guys wouldn’t it you them first yeah that b like roast potatoes like you got a crunch you got different texture it’s lovely and sweet B that is a it my food triing having a bad time today oh my go happing there it is guys got another camera there just to see me angle sort of thing you see what I’m cutting it’s nice a it I do like that I probably going eat my CET try a bit of that stuff on okay it’s Olympic food that’s what it is it’s an Olympian don’t feel that was R I like that a lot I think that’s really nice the PS are let’s try a little bit over the old yeah you have one of Go pass since at Christmas don’t you you know what I mean there’s the good old chop I like call that I’m having a little bit more gravy to be honest with you guys oh yes little bit of a Gran get that off lovely as I S I took the um the chops out and I just wrapped them in for and I just got an extra bit um crispy or marinated if you get what I mean just for the final 10 minutes that’s what I done just to get a bit of extra color on there but all in all all I’m happy with that what do you think bab M meul I do like it yeah what about your carrots you do like h those carrots as like the carrots like Pips and I like pot and I like the potatoes but you don’t like the cette I’m not don’t don’t like cette chops hav had to chop yet you the chops and no as well really tasty really like yeah didn’t they they all been cooked together as it they’re all in one po it tastes nice I like if I’ve done it again like that I will do the air FR it’s half the time put your veg in the bottom of the pan and it bottom of your air frer get them all going brown and that then get your traps on top and it’s done in no time then you know what I mean that took me about all together that uh think it was about an hour and 10 hour and 15 so there going to take you half hour in it so guys as I say I am Keith thanks for watching that is delicious uh if you wanted I use golden syrup and wholegrain mustard on my sausages and grill and roast root vegetables in same sauce 🎉😂🎉. Try it on gammon steak too and grill a pineapple ring with plenty of black pepper it really works. For dessert I marinade pineapple rings in dark rum and grill and add vanilla ice cream and a slice of Jamaican ginger cake 😂🎉😂

You can use that maple syrup to make a ham, although you need to dilute it down with honey or the flavour becomes over powering.
It looked like restraunt food until you slavered gravy over it. It did need a sauce though,, maybe an apple and sage homemade one would work for masterchef..

I have had operations on both thumbs to ease the pain and the swelling in those joints which does help a bit but my hands are still just like yours and dont do what I want them to lol love you all once again Maggie xxxx

Lovely looking dish and you could adjust it to the veg you'd prefer if you didn't like some of them. But I'd have eaten all that no probs. You should have cut the chop up for Nat, I have to do that now for my wife since she lost the use of her right hand a couple of years ago, a side effect of the radiotherapy she had in 2014, yeah it took 8 years for it to appear. Love the recipe, will defo be going on my to make list. Be well.

I had a stroke, blot clot on the brain and brain swelling 2 weeks after the Pfizer jab in April 2021. I was 39 years old, otherwise fit and healthy, gym 3 times per week, etc. During my hospital stay, my left side was paralysed for 2 weeks. I started the yellow card application, but it got so complicated! Luckily I fully recovered after a couple of months. So what to do now?
