ナチョス、タコス、そしてスコーピオン?!ナチョダディはワイルド!|ラスベガスストリップのレストランレビュー
Hello everyone and welcome to our channel. After featuring them in a segment of our winner picks dinner Fremont Street edition video, we’ve been dying to come back and give Nacho Daddy the spotlight it deserves. So in today’s video, we’re doing just that, and you’re coming along with us for dinner. Born in Las Vegas, Nacho Daddy is home to gourmet nachos, award-winning margaritas, and if you’re brave enough, the original Scorpion shot. Opened in 2010, Nacho Daddy is a locallyowned modern Mexican restaurant, setting the industry standard for fighting children’s hunger in the community. A portion of every entre’s purchase price is donated to charity. Don’t let their name fool you. They don’t just serve nachos. They serve the most insane gourmet nachos smothered in queso and salsa made fresh daily. And they guarantee you’ll never find a dry chip. Nachos nacho thing? No worries. They’ve got something for everyone, including all day breakfast, Mexican-American collisions, and a full vegan menu. All of which can be paired with their fresh house-made specialty drinks. Don’t go anywhere. We’ve got a lot to show you on today’s episode of James and Paul Try It All. Now, before we start, we want to let you know that we were not compensated by Nacho Daddy to make this video. All opinions are our own and they do reflect our experience at the time of dining. Your experience may differ and that is perfectly okay. We want to extend a huge thank you to Donald for his recent donation to the channel via YouTube Super Thanks feature. All donations go back into helping us make more videos and support of the channel is made possible by viewers like you. And one last thing, we are very thankful that 5,000 plus of you watch and support the channel. We couldn’t reach that without you and that means our next goal is 7,500 subscribers by the end of the year. So, if this content resonates with you, share it with others and let’s spread the love. All righty, guys and gals. We have just been seated here at Nacho Daddy. Now, we have already placed an order for some drinks, which will be coming out shortly. But in the meantime, we’ve got water. Very important when in Las Vegas. I can’t stress it enough. We’re already sweating out all of our electrolytes. Oh, that’s so good. Now, as we mentioned in our intro, we previously have been to Not Your Daddy on Fremont Street, but we wanted to come back and feature more things. So, while we decide what we’re going to order, let’s quickly take a little flashback look at past James and Paul so we can show you the infamous scorpion shot as well as the Golden Knights nachos. Flashback. All right, everyone. We are here at Nacho Daddy. And the main reason I wanted to come here was to try the scorpion shot. I’m going to go ahead and try this beautiful looking scorpion shot. Take this little lime. Let’s down it. [Music] Crunchy and delicious. Crunchy and delicious friends. If you come to Nacho Daddy, make sure to get the scorpion shot. It’s breathtaking. All righty, folks. Unlike my husband, I have no desire to drink bugs. Instead, I’m going to go with a daddy’s paloma. I love a paloma. It’s basically tequila and grapefruit juice. This looks fantastic. I’m going to give a little squeeze of lime in there. Let’s give it a little lick of the looks like taheen. That’s a solid paloma. That’s more tequila than anything. I’m not angry at that at all. It’s light. It’s refreshing. It’s not very sweet, which I kind of like. Sometimes palomas can be a little bit sweeter if they use like things like squirt, which I still love. I approve of this and I’d recommend it. 5 minutes later. All righty, guys. Our nachos have arrived. As we mentioned earlier, we went with the Golden Knights nacho. This is a giant mountain of nachos. Now, this is easily sharable between two, three, or four people. I have no idea how we’re going to finish this all, but I think we’re going to give it the old college try. Let’s go in for a bite. Oh my god, it’s so cheesy. It’s so cheesy. [Music] It’s so hot. Oh my god, so hot. It’s so delicious. Oh my god, I’m jamming out to Kesha as I’m uh eating these nachos. [Music] These are some solid nachos. Absolutely in love with them. All right, so it’s time to dine on these nachos that the Golden Knights would approve of. Now, first of all, I just want to say the colors on this are aesthetically pleasing. I’m going to go in from the bottom here. Look at that cheese. Okay, that’s a little hot. [Music] You know, these are some good nachos. Look at all that cheese. [Music] I’m actually quite enjoying this. All right, so we’re going to finish off these nachos. Stay tuned. Meanwhile, now I do hope that you enjoyed that look at past James and Paul and our visit to the uh downtown location of Nacho Daddy. But our cocktails have arrived. I’ve gone with the classic daddy’s original margarita. And I gotta say, just looking at this, for some reason, I am instantly transported back to like being 21 years old and sitting like at an Applebee’s or Chili’s bar. But I’m not against that. That’s the best reason to go to Applebee’s or Chili. Let’s be honest. Daddy’s original margarita is going to be crafted with 100% Weber blue agave reposado trip housemade sweet and sour. And it comes with a choice of original, strawberry, or mango. Because I’m a sucker for tradition, I went with original. I’m gonna get a little squeeze of the lime in there because it’s not just to make there to be pretty. You got to put your lime in your margarita. [Music] Nothing wrong with a classic style margarita and they do it well. I wish there was a little bit more salt on there. I did ask them to go kind of heavy, but they didn’t. But that’s okay. Um I’m a salty No. Seriously, that’s like my favorite part of margaritas. I love the salted rim. I don’t really need it. I just like the salt, but I’m weird. Perfect. Absolutely wonderful. Let’s see what Paul’s got. Now, if you know me at all, you know that I love Mexican candy, spicy margaritas, bold flavors like that. So, I went with the Mexican candy margarita. Now, the Mexican candy margarita is going to be comprised of kas amigos blanco, mango schnops, mango puree, fresh jalapenos, house-made sweet and sour, and tapato with a Mexican seasoned rib. Now, that just sounds delightful. And I just love that there’s little fresh jalapenos swimming around in it. Let’s squeeze the lime. And let’s give it a sip. That’s delightful. It’s sweet. It’s got a little bit of spice. It’s not hot spicy at all. I can see little bits of chili seeds floating around in it. So, let’s hope that we get a little bit of heat. Moments later. Okay, the heat’s here. The heat has arrived. has arrived. Now, I am a firm believer that you should always just live on the spicy side. This is a great margarita. Now, if you love Mexican candy, it just kind of reminds me of having those little mango lollipops with the chili on the outside. [Music] So, if you want something a little bit more on the spicier side, go with a Mexican candy margarita. James and I are going to do our usual cocktail swap. Trades. Now, I’m going to try this is daddy’s margarita. Let’s see what daddy has in store for me. Standard margarita. I cannot complain. Definitely getting the tequila, definitely getting that agave flavor. So, if you want something on the non-spicier side, Daddy’s Margarita is the way to go. You know, all the time growing up and even into my early adulthood, I hated Mexican candy. I can’t even lie. But sometime, like between mid20s to now pushing 40, I’ve really grown to appreciate it. I’m still kind of like on the fence about mango. So, let’s give it a quick little taste. Wow. You get a really strong chili flavor from that. Wow, that’s good. Am I just too desensitized on chili? I’m not talking spice. I’m talking the flavor of chili. The spice is there, but it’s not like super crazy. It’s a It’s a little itch in your back of your throat there. [Music] That’s delightful. Paul’s right. It does kind of remind me of like one of those mango lollipops covered in like chamoy taheen and whatnot. Perfectly delicious. If you want something a little out there, you want to be a little adventurous, give it a shot. Our entre will be arriving. We of course had to go with some nachos, but we also have a plate from off the regular menu coming as well. We’ll be back when those arrive. Don’t go anywhere. We’ll be back with nachos and an entree after these messages. Hello everyone. We really hope that you’re enjoying today’s video. If you are, please consider hitting that like button, subscribing to our channel if you’re not already subscribed, and don’t forget to ring that cute little bell icon for notifications whenever a new episode of James and Paul Try It All is released. Each and every Saturday, we’re going to bring you more Las Vegas hotel reviews, attraction reviews, restaurant reviews, and a whole lot more. If you enjoy gambling like we do, every Sunday, we have our slot play series, Slot Play Sunday, also released at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. Thank you guys so much for your continued support. You mean the world to us. You’re the reason that we keep making these fun little videos. Now, one good thing about the type of food that Nacho Daddy offers, the food arrives super quickly. We’ve literally just had like two sips of our drinks and then voila, nachos have arrived as well as our tacos which we’ll show you in just a moment. But as you can see, we’ve got a giant plate of nachos here. Now, these are the fajita nachos which are comprised of marinated filet minan, seared peppers and onions, reffried beans, melted jack and cheddar cheese, yellow queso, cherry tomato pico de gallo, shredded lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, and pickled onions on top of housemadericolor corn chips. Wow, that sounds good. I’m just going to go ahead and dive right in. I’ll go for the first bite and I’ll what I’ll do since Paul’s not a big fan of sour cream. I’m going to take a nice chunk of that off the top there for him. Craft my perfect nacho bite. I always love keeping keeping pickled onion at home, but it’s too much of a pain in the ass for me to keep up on it. Salty, creamy, cheesy, pickly, delicious. Absolutely wonderful. Can’t go wrong with meat, cheese on top of nachos. Wonderful. Love it. Seriously, the nachos here are killer. If you’re a nacho fan, you got to check out Nacho Daddy while you’re in Vegas. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a cheap meal. These are like $28 nachos. But you get a giant portion. And honestly, they’re some of the best nachos I’ve ever had. And I eat a lot of nachos. It seems to be a thing whenever I travel. I’m all about nachos. Traveling conventions, I have to get nachos at least once during the trip. However, let’s now turn these over to Paul so he can have a tasty taste. My turn to try these nachos. Now, these look a lot more loaded than those Golden Knights nachos that we had last time. So, I’m just going to dive right into the bottom here and pull from the bottom and go up. Giggity, don’t take all the guac. I’m not going to take all the guac. Don’t be a guac hog. I mean, there we go. M. Oh, I got a little bit of that beef in there. That beef is delightful. It’s hard to describe these because it’s a little bit of just everything hitting you at once. As nachos should be. Nachos should be like a good nacho is usually just a mass of flavors hitting you all at once. Now, because I always preach on the channel about getting out of the comfort zone, I’m going to dig it right into that sour cream here. Not again, not my usual thing, but we’re in Vegas. It kind of cools off everything with those nachos. One thing I do like, fresh jalapenos. I mean, it said pickles on the menu, but I have to say, I’ve never been a fan of the pickled jalapenos cuz they’re just too vinegary. But when they’re cut up like this, perfect. Perfect bite. I mean, that’s really all I can say about nachos. You’re You’re literally coming here to just gorge on a giant plate of nachos. A giant mess of nachos. Exactly. It’s a messy meal and that’s what we’re here for. Now, we also ordered something really amazing that we are excited to show you here. So, stay tuned. Now, because Nacho Daddy has more than just nachos, we had to show something else. We went with their surf and turf tacos, which is going to be a taco combination. Essentially, you get a lobster taco as well as a fililet minan taco. I’m really excited. Else comes with rice and beans. I love tacos. I’ve already given a little spritz of lime. I’m going to go in for the fillet minan. This looks like housemade tortillas, flour tortillas. Oh man, I’m excited. [Music] The filet minan taco is out of this world. First, it’s spicy. There’s a good kick to it, but there’s these wonderful caramelized onions that add a little bit of sweetness to it. The filet minan is beefy and rich. The tortilla is unreal. I’ve never had a a flour tortilla like this. It’s so good. It’s a bit puffy, too, from what it looks like, which is awesome cuz you can tell it’s a housemade tortilla. It is a puffy tortilla, but it’s got a nice crust on the outside. Nice crispness from being fried on the griddle. Already very impressed. I’m going to go in for a little rice and beans. I I like to mix my rice and beans together cuz I’m weird. I mean, I wouldn’t consider that weird. I do that all the time. They are standard Mexican rice and beans, but I love standard Mexican rice and beans. Like, there’s nothing wrong with that. I can literally make a meal out of rice and beans. So good. The reffried beans are wonderful and just smooth and rich. The rice even has a little bit kick, too. Let’s see what Paul thinks about the lobster taco. I’m going to try this beer battered lobster taco. I follow Nacho Daddy on social media and I do have to say their beer battered lobster taco has been all over social media and I am here for it. I’m actually kind of glad that we’re deciding to try it now. It is basically a hunk of lobster dipped in beer batter fried up and put in between a taco. Less talking, more eating. Let’s give this a bite. That is all the things that you enjoy with a fish taco except it’s lobster and I am here for it. I would be perfectly happy if they just put the hunk of lobster in a tortilla and called it a day. It almost reminds me of any type of seafood taco where they put a lot of tropical and fresh ingredients inside the tortilla with the taco. It’s cool. It’s refreshing, but you’ve got the taste of the seafood in there and it’s fried seafood. I’m also going to give these rice and beans a taste cuz when you’re having the taco and you’re having a combination plate, got to try the rice and beans. Now, as James said, it’s just standard rice and beans. But I cannot complain about that because whenever you’re having any type of Mexican plate, it’s comfort food. You’re not here for the rice and beans. You’re here for the tacos. I mean, really, people are here for the nachos. That true. If you’re not feeling nachos and you want something different, the tacos are a delicious way to go. I also want to try this filet minion taco. When we were ordering, our server had explained to us that we were originally just going to go with a beer batter lobster taco and she suggested surf and turf. And I’m actually quite glad because we get to try two different signature tacos that they’re known for here. Let’s go ahead and give this a bite. James’ wife, that has a kick to it. And you’re getting that beefy flavor from the flameon, the caramelized onions. I liken this entire plate with a surf and turf. One is hot, one is cool, and then you got your little side of comfort food. So, you’re getting the best of both worlds here, and I am here for it. I’m excited. I love lobster. I love tacos. What could go wrong? Paul’s absolutely right. That lobster taco is wonderful. The lobster flavor is not not bad. It’s not super strong, don’t get me wrong. It’s mostly you’re going to taste a lot of the batter and the the guac and and I think it’s guac from what I can tell, but the mango salsa is very prevalent. It’s sweet. It’s cool. It’s refreshing. It’s delicious. I honestly was wondering, can Nacho Daddy pull off other stuff besides not just nachos? And they certainly can. Those tacos are amazing. Now, on that note, guys, we’ve got a lot of food to eat. Stay tuned. We’ll be back with our final thoughts very shortly. All righty, guys. As you can tell, it is clearly not the same day. I just want to give you our final thoughts on Nacho Daddy. All in all, I’d say we had a good time. I definitely did. The food is yummy. Don’t get me wrong, it is obviously white people Mexican food. It is the whitest of white people Mexican food, but it’s fun and it is a Las Vegas business that, you know, is a local Las Vegas. And the food is good. The food is good. They’re using decent ingredients. The meat was great on those nachos. And you’re not coming there for anything that is culinary, you know, sophistication. You’re coming there strictly for loaded nachos. Exactly. Or tasty lobster tacos and or filet minan tacos, which oh my god, those tortillas were so amazing. I think Nacho Daddy is a wonderful Vegas institution and definitely something that you should check out when visiting town. if you’re looking for something that’s casual and fun but still unique or if you just really really like nachos like we do. I don’t think we have anything bad to say about Nacho Daddy. On that note guys, if you enjoyed today’s video, be sure to hit that like button, subscribe to the channel, don’t forget to ring the bell icon for notifications whenever a new episode of James Paul Triol is released every single Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time, as well as our weekly slot play series, Slot Play Sunday, every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. On that note, until next week, have a great one. Have a great one. As a millennial, I have to appreciate the name Juicy Fruit. Really will give it this. It kind of reminds me of Juicy Fruit gum. We are constantly singing too many gum jingles from our childhood for me to not try this. Jessie for did movie.

One day I’ll get Abed to do a scorpion shot with me 😂
Y'all wild on that scorpion shot lol
spicy shrimp nachos for me, Heather Stitt would take a gander at the vegan page. Congrats again on 5K subs. I'll be sharing you to help get you to 7,500.
Great timing on the video. I am planning to eat there next month and take advantage of the free birthday shot.
New drinking game while watching James and Paul. Everytime delightful is said we take a Daddy shot. 🎉❤ Great video as always guys.

I made sure I had eaten before watching 😂. I know I probably sound like a broken record but LOVE y'alls reviews and you have givem me so many ideas.
As it is, I'm treating friends to brunch at Mon Ami when I'm in town in November.
And for anyone new to this channel, these guys are hilarious and real and you need to subscribe
Just wanted to offer words of encouragement – I watch FAR to much YouTube … especially ALL the Vegas channels/people. Your channel is done well, with good information and explanations. I would rank you high in my list of Vegas vloggers. Keep up the good work – I will be watching!
Love your videos! So well done! I was at ND on Fremont a month ago and had a horrible experience not sure if they were short staffed but the service was non existent and there weren’t many people in the restaurant at the time. Everyone was looking around at each other like is this really happening? None of us are getting served? Anyway been there before and everything was great so maybe it was a one off. Love the food though and typically it’s a fun place. Great review guys! (Fellow local)
Their vegan menu is great plus the margaritas are very strong and delicious!
Ok I want to complain, summer almost gone and no video off you guys in a pool. Please a pool ,Mandalay, or whatever please. lol ❤
When you said "puffy tortilla", it reminds me of a taco stand we have in Whittier,Ca called Puffy Taco. Their food is amazing & you can't go wrong with a puffy taco shell!!!! I favor enchiladas every time!!! Next week your horror trip? ENJOY!!!!! ❤❤❤
Another great video❤❤. I love to mix rice and beans. My husband hates any kind of bean. I love guacamole, and yes, I am a hog 😂😂
Thanks for another great video!
We're going to go here when we head out in November. Probably going to get and share the naco's and I"m having the scorpion shot for sure!
Thanks for another great video guys. Congrats again on hitting 5k. I can see you hitting 7.5k well before the end of the year since you are FABULOUS! Always honest in your opinions and I love that you both try everything, even if not your thing except the bug. But I am 100% with James on that one.
I love nachos! Thx for the video, will have to try this place now!!!
We tried to go to Nacho Daddy across the street from Aria, but couldn't find it? I think we had too many drinks before going across the street. Anyways maybe we'll attempt to go there in September when we are back in Vegas. Thanks for sharing….
Congratulations on 5000 followers!
My brother got me into your channel and your content is great. The extra sound effects on this video….maybe consider if they’re necessary to telling your narratives or a distraction.
James, you're a nacho connoisseur. Love that!
It's like us with our cannoli 😂
There seems to be a bit of lard in those beans. Gimmee, gimmee, gimmee
I need that Scorpion Shot 🤩!!! Love you guys!!!
Whooooooooooooaaaa!!!❤❤❤
Those tacos looks fabulous 🎉. Great idea for a surf and turf tavo plate 👏🏽👏🏽. I was already expecting the nachos to hit it but those tacos , bravo! Loving this video with the reactions and OMG the margaritas sound effects were making us laugh😅…so funny. Great addition. On to slot play Sunday. Salud 🍻
PS: The last scorpion shit I did had a real smokey taste to it. This one looked like it was a smoother taste . Salud for slamming that one 🍻👏🏽
I’ve enjoyed both the one on the strip and the one in Fremont. Great margaritas and solid nachos. What else could you ask for
Love you both but can James please tone his voice down. He screams instead of talking at a nice tone.
It's been on our list but we've never made it there. The food looks so beautiful and delicious!
I so want to do the shot!
Love this video !!! I’ve always wanted to go and try them !! Thank you for trying something other than nachos !!! Next visit I’ll come !!! Also , don’t lose the nose rings !! You be you !!!
Ooohhh one day we’ll get here. Those tacos really caught my eye! And never met a plate of nachos I didn’t like. Great video guys!! 😊
Love the channel and Nacho Daddy and watching you two! P.S..Love your shirt Paul! Where can I find one?!
As often as I “Vegas”, I have yet to pop into a Nacho Daddy! (probably because, per James’ reference, it’s White People Mexican food! 😆
No dry chips??? Sign me up
This is a fun one! I will not be drinking bugs (LOL!), but we are definitely adding Nacho Daddy's to our list now when we are back in Vegas in a few weeks. Thanks!!
Got to have that scorpion shot! You rock, Paul! Thanks, guys. You two are the BEST! Susie. ( binge- watching your content right now to catch up.) Susie.
