I found my purpose at an early age itself! Usually Indian children dream of becoming doctor , engineer or scientist But I wanted to open a restaurant I’m glad I found something worthwhile when I was very young There are three reasons for ‘why I exist’ / Ikigai First, food. Secondly, food. And third too, food I recently came across some interesting statistics about India India is famous for delicious food. especially famous for vegetarian recipes Becoming a vegetarian or vegan in India is very easy Because there are already many vegetarian and vegan recipes exist This study shows the number of vegetarian followers in India 29% of Indians are vegetarian Interestingly, North India has more vegetarians than South India And most interestingly 29% of vegetarian 400,201,271 people alone is three times the total population of Japan So today I ’ll show you a vegan recipe! This is a fusion recipe of India and Japan It ’s tofu butter curry I would like to dedicate this recipe to my Japanese vegan friends! To my vegan friends in Japan with love from India! This is a very simple recipe Let’s look at the ingredients The main ingredient in this recipe is ‘tofu’ I usually buy locally made tofu But for this video I was looking for other brands To my surprise, I found Morinaga Tofu Did not know this is available in india Let’s use this tofu The important thing is that tofu curry requires the use of ‘extra firm’ tofu. This tofu can be cut into any shape and size you like Next Onion, Tomato, Cashew Cut the onion into small pieces Make tomato paste using a blender Finally, soak the cashew in fresh water for 30 minutes to make paste. The consistency of this paste should be not too thick or too thin The spices I use today are Turmeric powder Red chili powder Coriander seed powder Garam masala powder Because this is a vegan recipe, I use vegan butter and coconut milk cream If you are not vegan you can use dairy butter and fresh milk cream Finally ginger garlic paste salt Vegan sugar Cooking oil Coriander is optional Let’s cook Heat the frying pan over medium heat Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil and 1 teaspoon of butter When the oil is hot, add tofu and fry on medium heat for 1-2 minutes until tofu turns light brown. When you’re done, turn off the heat and set aside the fried tofu. Heat 5 tablespoons of oil in a curry pan When the oil is warm, add the onions Fry on medium heat until it becomes soft When the onion becomes soft Add 1.5 teaspoons of ginger garlic paste and fry for 1 minute. Add tomato paste Mix well and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. give occasional stir Reduce the flame and add 1 tsp of turmeric powder 3 tsp of coriander powder Add 2.5 tsp of red chilli powder Add salt if you like Add salt as you like. Return to medium heat and add 1 cup of water Mix well and wait until it starts to boil When it boils, reduce the heat to low Add cashew paste and mix well Cover and simmer for 2-3 minutes Stir occasionally in the meantime when the oil begins to separate, add 2 tsp of butter and 4 tbsp of cream Add 2 tsp of Garam masala powder and 2 tsp of sugar Generally, butter curries have a slight sweetness, so add sugar. Mix well and cook for 1 minute Finally, add the stir-fried tofu and cilantro if you like. Mix well and turn off the heat It’s done! It looks delicious!   3. 日本のインドカレー屋さんで豆カレー頼んだ方がいましたが、豆カレーなのに肉が入っていて、インドの方は激怒してました。日本では気をつけないとビーガンの人は困りますね。
