You don't need the cumin, garlic, salt, and all that if you use taco seasoning. Taco seasoning has those ingredients in it.
The beef isn't mixed in the beans at TGIFriday's. The beans are made with bacon and the beef is usually placed on top of the beans after smearing on the chip.
Ahh thank you!! Friday's stopped selling this dish by me, so glad now I can make them at home! Haha 🙂
Wonderful, I haven't been able to enjoy this dish since early 2016 since it was discontinued at Fridays. This is one dish I've constantly longed to have again because it's just heavenly. Now I can take matters into my own hands and just make it at home 😀
Fridays are slowly going under…
There’s a secret ingredient they use to get the unique taste. They use to list it in the appetizer description but omitted it in the menus when the appetizer came back out. Add a tbsp of bacon grease to the refried beans and it’s on point. T.G.I. Friday’s uses bacon flavored refried beans.
Thank you for the recipe. I used to be a waiter for TGI Fridays in Orlando, FL and loved their Tosado Nachos. I was heartbroken when they removed them from their menu.
I happened to think about the nachos and quickly went to a web search for the recipe and found your video. Trying them tonight! The only question I have is what's the temp of the oven and how long should they bake?
Again, thanks!!
May I ask what refried beans to use like is it best to use black bean dip or traditional or Amy's refried beans?
