*** There is a lot of discussion about using ceramic or glass in a pressure cooker. I am not suggesting you use them for any application under pressure.***

4:15 When you put the butter in a sealable bag, put the bag in a bowl and pour the hot water in the bowl… not in the bag.

Phenomenal cake. It really was worth the time and effort to lay out the apples in that pattern. I’ve been having the same issues baking cakes under pressure. One rose up so high it touched the lid, and I was really uncomfortable with that for safety. So I split the recipe like you did. But I just do them one layer at a time. I don’t have dual pans like those that stack. My question is: would you ever use the slow cooker function to bake? I’ve made Crockpot cakes before with great results, but not in the Ninja (yet). Cornbread is great in the Ninja because it rises up under pressure more than in the oven, but it has enough consistency not sink as it cools. In the 8 qt. Ninja, I guess you could bake anything you want because it’s so tall.
The link to the pan grease came with a warning for a possible scam to steal information. I have Malware so maybe the warning came from that app! Do you have another way to give us the recipe for that?
So pretty!
Beautiful my next challange
You seemed a bit tired or frustrated when you did the Apple cake. Could have been because you were dealing with that cold I heard in your voice also.
I wonder why you don't do more of your prep ahead of time like the big network does to save you some production time. Just saying. ^_^
You’re an awesome teacher thanx for the recipe 💕
How much brown sugar in the bowl
I can never seem to bring up the written recipe when I’m ready to make them , how do I see them. Thank you for your help!
How much oil goes into the apple cake?
In the uk I can’t get all purpose flour unless I order it from an American food shop in London and it’s quite expensive to keep doing it that way. Can u suggest what we should use instead please. I made this cake and all the family loved it. I love your videos as they are so easy to follow.
Thank you for the awesome cake recipe! Helpful hint, when you set the temp if you hold the button down it will jump 10 degrees so it's easier to raise or lower the numbers.

I couldn't reach Gretchen's site. Please put on your site for the greasing recipe. Thanks!!
Can't wait to try this, it looks delicious! What would happen if I didn't poke holes in the lower layer's tin foil? I'm worried the lower layer will get to wet.
Go ahead and LOL now. I made this cake and it turned out great even though I did most everything wrong. I didn't have my Fat Daddio pans yet so I did have an 8 x 3 inch one. You had said that your ceramic bowl didn't work, so I thought if I had a bundt pan it might. Didn't have one…..so I grabbed the small glass that dried beef comes in (all batter was now in pan) and buttered the outside of glass, pushed it down with the hole still on top, covered the cake with foil and set the time on HI pressure to 50 minutes and let it go 30 minutes without releasing pressure. It was beautiful. Next time I might shorten time to 45 minutes. I have a wire adjustable cake slicer so I sliced it in half and proceeded like I had two cakes. I did the caramel on my gas stove in a heavy pot because I am impatient. It was wonderful also. I will continue using this pan and glass even if I do get a bundt pan or the two from FD.
Brilliant
Louise, do the 8 inch round cake pans fit into the 6.5 quart foodi
Please help with the pan grease – recipe wont open
Just discovered your site and very interested on this style of food prep. My husband is getting me a ninja foodie 6 quart for Christmas. He has already put his first order in, your Cottage pie ! I am a senior woman and a traditional cook, oven and stovetop, so this will be a learning experience and I look forward to your recipes suggestions. Thanks, Linda in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
Good Golly Miss Molly! What a wonderful desert for a family dinner; or a Sunday brunch; or a delectable morning or afternoon coffee break for my coworkers. Who would've thought? Thanks so much!
The recipe for the pan grease is not there anymore
Applesauce instead of oil makes cake very moist!
Beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing! Love it! 🙂
Were these cakes made in the 6 and 1/2 or the 8 Quart foodie?
Love my pot learning everyday
Great video; will definitely try those !! I just wanted to ask – what would the cooking time and temperature be to make a basic 8 inch vanilla sponge or a chocolate cake in the Foodi? I want to try it but I’m quite unsure on where to begin.
I get so hungry watching you reveal your master-pieces.
Where did you get those grips?
Hi. Just made your cake. I would have liked to see all the ingredients laid out, before starting. I had to pause often to determine quantities. What kind of oil did you use, and how much? The sling idea is a good suggestion. I only made one layer, so I used the ROASTING SLING from Ninja. (about 15 dollars in USA).
OMG!!!!!!! I whished i could of just reached through my laptop and grabed a pc.
I have a egg allygi what substitute can i use please
You forgot to list the coated whisk? Also, when I click on link for Pan Grease it says "This site can't be reached". Can you put the recipe here? Thank you!
I just made this and it was absolutely delicious. Do you think it would be just as good with a salted caramel icing?
Cake looks great and so did you in this video!
I'm looking forward to making this cake Louise, it looks so impressive, and I'm sure it's really delicious.
Just three questions please before I get down to making it"-
1) What is the equivalent in grams & ounces for 1 STICK OF BUTTER ?
2) What could I substitute for the vegetable oil in the recipe, perhaps I could use melted butter ?
3) Unfortunately, the link to your unique Pan Grease recipe no longer follows through, nor can I find it by Googling. Thank you.
Wow this is a beautiful cake and I bet the flavor is amazing! Can’t wait to try this one for its your baked beans, bacon onion Mac and cheese and probably chicken nuggets or strips. What a feast! Thanks girl, you’re an amazing cook and I appreciate all the effort you put in your videos as well as your husbands great camera work!
I can't wait to try this, thanks Louise!
Beautiful! Amazing.
Is it ok to bake a single-layer cake in the large Ninja pan? I didn’t think about trying that when I baked a cake in a small pan on the rack, but I needed to microwave a mug cake with the leftover batter. Also, do we have to fill the bottom with water to bake something? Thanks.
Ohhhh MY!!!!! So I bought a NF to use in my RV. Every time I tried to use it I would throw the breaker. I put it back in the box. Well I’m permanent now on a property with access to a full kitchen. To be honest I was very apprehensive about using it because I lost the instruction in my travels. I pulled it out a week ago today. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS MACHINE!!!!
While watching this video I wondered could I do a Pineapple Upside Down Cake! Imma experiment this week!
Thank you for teaching me! I must must must purchase another one to use side by side!
I HAVE to try this recipe… It looks so fabulous.. However, I can't find the recipe on your website nor does the link for the pan grease work. Any updates for this missing info? TIA
I would like to try this recipe in the oven, any suggestions?
Nice looking apple cake recipe … shame so many adverts.
This recipe sounds and looks amazing!!!! Your link to your pan grease doesn't work. What is the recipe for the grease? Have you tried any other cakes in the Foodi?
Was this the 7" or 8" Fat Daddy round cake pan?
I have the 15 in 1 foodi.. not sure which will fit since the bottom edges are beveled up..
Much faster to micro the margarine..
What size is this Foodie? Hard to tell from the image. Thanks. I'm new to my Foodie – got it for Christmas – I've got the Smart Lid model. Thanks.
Wow
❤gotta try
You worked hard enough on that cake Louise, you deserve to enjoy a slice! I'm having the ladies over, so I've decided this is definitely on the menu! Thanks!
