A Day in the Life of a Japanese Mom | Easy Japanese Recipes | Supermarket Visit | 2021 Summer

This is a vlog from a little while ago, capturing an ordinary weekday with my 2- and 6-year-old kids. From breakfast and our morning routine before daycare, to a mushroom-filled lunch, afternoon pick-ups, and a quiet moment after bedtime — these simple days have become such precious memories. I’d be so happy if you could take a moment to look back on them with me.

  1. Ever since you’ve reloaded again and showed the Japanese grocery stores I have been curious about the Japanese yen to Canadian dollar conversion. It is approximately 11 yen to 1 cent. So when I see your prices I just remove the last digit and put a “.” To imagine the price. So for those cherries it would be around $3.70 CAD~. It’s not exactly but kinda similar! I am very curious about the cost of food in Japan. Some things are similar except for apples.. 200 yen for 1 apple!? I bought a bag of 3 lbs (approximately 8 apples) for only $3 CAD. 😮 That fresh sashimi for 500 yen would definitely cost 3-4 times more here though! I also love the shopping you did with your son and allowing him to choose a treat. I recall memories of me and mom shopping and she allowing me to pick a treat every once a while. Nice memory ❤.

That mushroom miso pasta looked AMAZING!!! I love how much mushrooms you used. Great way to add volume and vegetables.

My last comment cos I wrote a lot already lol. I think it is nice you allowed yourself some me time after the kids go to bed to snack, work and play. It’s important to also take care of yourself when you have so many responsibilities as a working mom.

    Lovely video ❤!
