Hi Michael, I'm not a seafood fan but I love scallops. we go there and I get the scallop plate with onion rings and it's alway's awesome. when you get down to the dish there is no grease on the plate . my wife get's the fried clams and swears they are the best, also
no greasy plate or fingers. I agree about the ketchup, hate those things. they are the best.

I was there about 3 weeks ago, grabbed a Fisherman’s Platter and it was absolutely delicious. It couldn’t have been any better. Everything was cooked perfectly, I brought someone with me who had never been there before and they were totally blown away. It’s the best place hands down. Thanks for doing the review.

My parents always had a hard on for the fisherman's platter from Woods in Plymouth…I'm on vacation next week and you've gotten me curious about the fried seafood so I'm going to take my mom and son down there for lunch one of the days
How do all these co called great restaurants screw up the fries ? I'd rather get a box of scallops with an order of onion rings at most places just because the fries always suck.
Mike, not to be confused with the Clambox of Quincy… That place is another Mob front, overpriced dumping ground. They should start frying up the jellyfish that wash up across the street @ Wollaston Beach. Shithole

Lol.. I was just there YESTERDAY at 2:50… delicious!!! Had the fisherman's platter.. $45 but was more than enough for 2 people to share.. Haddock was good.. but the shrimp were actually outstanding too. Perfect Clams.. perfect Scallops! Top Notch!! My only complaint.. .how long the line takes when busy.. Folks waiting in line for 20 minutes and STILL need to look up at the menu when at the register… Come on PEOPLE… the menu is ON YOUR PHONE!!!! Thx for sharing… now off to get your top chicken parm sandwich and North Shore Beef!!!

I just had the best fried clams of my life, I’ve had them everywhere from Maine to Boston all the big names!!! Went to Martha’s Vineyard last week for the first time ever, wasn’t too impressed BUT the clams at the Black Dog Tavern were the best I’ve ever had! The service was ehhhh middle of the day, and the host was bake out of his mind and forgot us LOL. But I have to say the clams were amazing!!! Also Woods in Plymouth was very good on the ride down great fried shrimp!!!
You can’t beat the Clam Box in Ipswich! Essex Seafood is good too.

Michael, I was there last week and the big bellies are available upon request. You're right! The clams, fries, onion rings and scallops are MONEY! Everything else follows.
This place is good but I will put them against Bob's clam hut in Wells maine and Sea Swirl in Mystic Ct anyday !
Sea food, not affordable. In Derry , N.H. two such places went bottom-up.
