Ingredients:
1.2kg Potatoes
400ml Milk
500ml Thick Cream
1 tbsp Nutmeg
1/2 tbsp Pepper
1 tbsp Salt
3 Garlic Cloves
2 Bay Leaves
Steps:
* Peel the potatoes and keep them in cold water.
* Slice the potatoes with a knife or a mandoline.
* Keep the potato slices on a dry tea towel.
* Add the milk, garlic and bay leaves in a pot over medium heat.
* Add Nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste. Ensure the milk is slightly over salty because we won’t add any more salt to the potatoes.
* Once the milk has infused, take it off the heat.
* Spread the potato slices in a baking dish.
* Pour the infused milk on top of the potatoes.
* Bake in the oven at 180C for 90 minutes or until golden brown. With a knife, make sure the potatoes are soft.
