Honey and Cream Cheese-Filled Dates
Ingredients:
• 8–10 Medjool dates, pitted
• 1 (8 oz) block of cream cheese, softened
• 2 tablespoons honey, plus extra for drizzling
• 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• ½ cup toasted walnuts, finely chopped
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dates:
• Using a sharp knife, carefully slice each date lengthwise to remove the pits, being careful not to cut all the way through.
2. Make the Filling:
• In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and honey. Stir until smooth.
• Add the cinnamon and mix until fully incorporated.
3. Toast the Walnuts:
• Heat a dry pan over medium heat and toast the walnuts for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant.
• Let them cool, then chop finely.
4. Fill the Dates:
• Transfer the cream cheese mixture into a piping bag (or a zip-top bag with the corner snipped off).
