INGREDIENTS
4 tbls butter
1 clove garlic
8 oz Marscarpone cheese (or cream cheese)
16 oz half and half
grated nutmeg to taste
black pepper to taste
2 to 3 oz grated Parmesan cheese
16 oz box fettuccine noodles
1 lb shrimp (optional)
season to taste

  1. LOOKS AWESOME! My recipe is: Heavy cream, Granulated Garlic, Butter and ground parmesan. Comes out creamy and it takes about 1 minute to make once your noodles are done. Add some butter and Pour the cream over the strained noodles in a pan. Sprinkle on a little garlic add parmesan as much as you need while you stir until it reaches your desired thickness add some black pepper if you like and Done!

  3. Last night I made this recipe, but I also added chicken. I have to say I did not like the flavor of the cream cheese; it was a bit sour to me. My dish also was too thick, so I added some pasta water, which others have suggested. I believe that made it even thicker, since the pasta water has starch. So tonight, I will reheat using chicken broth and/or hot water. I have to say, yours looks good, especially, with the shrimp! Thanks.

  4. Why do these so called cooks always refer to the things they use with MY, my spoon, my pot, my minutes, my eggs, etc. How about being more grammatical and use "THE", the spoon, the pan, the cheese, etc. ?

  5. I've never heard of cream cheese (or marscapone cheese) being added to a fettuccine Alfredo sauce. Hmmm… interesting!
